...or so I've heard

Self-destruction never looked so good.

From the compton cookout at UCSD to a swastika carved on a UCD dorm door and the recent vandalism on the LGBTRC (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Resource Center)… The hate crimes and racism need to stop. We must act in solidarity to combat these actions! These actions were intended to hurt particular communities, but lets show that it really empowers and unites us towards the fight against hate crimes and ignorance.
Really though? UCD, I thought you were better than this. These words don’t hurt me, I’ve become so desensitized to them. Please come up with something better. But I do know that these words hurt a lot of other people and the community. All these acts of hate have shown that ignorance is very much alive and must be fought. Ignorance is intolerable. I read somewhere that the LGBTRC isn’t letting the campus clean up the vandalism. Good. Show them that these words are exactly that, words. This serves only as a vehicle in showing that the community will not back down in the face of opposition and will push forward. I stand in solidarity with all communities affected by the recent wave of crimes. Compton cookout, racial slurs on a UCSD campus funded program, a noose, swastika, and now this? Get it together y’all. I have no time to deal with bigots.
SPREAD LOVE NOT HATE.
