Below you’ll find the musings of 20 year-old, semi-newly single Rap. I had to try real hard to remember my MySpace login info to fetch this! Four years later and still single, I can still read this (my Lord, it’s lengthy!) and smile… and laugh at how fucking young I sound - naive and wide-eyed. I’m a little more grown and little bit wiser now..

valentines day is here again. its a happy day. get over it people. single or committed you should be happy. round of applause to those in relationships. i hope you have a wonderful day full of love (even though everyday together should be spent that way =P), fun, and late night excitement hehe. 

to those who havent found their other slipper (ok time for a lil story within a story, so you know how like everyone has lobster or a penguin or some shit like that? being a slipper is the same thing. i remember it from some filipino soap opera and my mom telling me its an analogy in the philippines. so basically, everyone is a slipper and slippers come in pairs. and if youre filipino you know how it is when you have one slipper and you cant find the other one cus its somewhere lost in the damn house. and then you find it and youre all happy and shit cus now your feet are happy. every slipper has a pair!) be happy and embrace the single life. it makes life so much easier than dwelling in solitude and unrest because you cant find your true love. stop looking and getting depressed every time you try it doesnt happen. itll happen. it will come to you. not saying you shouldnt keep your eyes open for the next fine whoever but dont pursue that person like theres no tomorrow. if its meant to happen, it will. just let things run their course. embrace being single. its so much fun as ive discovered. no one to report to. no one to tell you what to do. no one’s feelings to worry about if you wanna just go out with your friends. embrace knowing that you can make yourself happy by doing little things that make you happy. you can buy your own chocolate, own dinner, own gifts, etc because youre what?? youre I N D E P E N D E N T. hahaha corny i know. i apologize. but its true! relish the fact that you can take care of yourself and that you need no one but yourself. cus even when you are with someone, its good to know that you can take care of you if it doesnt work out. know you can pick up the pieces yourself and dont need the next one to do it. life is too amazing to let something like your continual “quest to find true love” blind you to the beauty that already surrounds you everyday. its not single-awareness as most people would like to say. take it as SELF-AWARENESS DAY. ok thats my piece on owning this day. not the own like how you owned your friend by giving them a charliehorse. owning the day in the sense in that youve seized it and made it yours. this day is yours to indulge in yourself and show that you love yourself and that you have worth. so crawl out of your hole and go get a mani-pedi cus sure a hell i need one. hahah

but shiiiii i aint gonna front. as much as i love me, i am a littttttle bit sad, just a tincy wincy bit. six years ago i asked behbeh to be my valentine and she said no and look what happened! thanks a lot behbeh! haha jK. four years ago i had a ring. thats something i miss. i was wearing something that represented enduring love in the form of a 14k white gold channel ring with 10 diamonds across the top. *sigh* hahaha. yea i miss being a relationship and knowing at night theres someone waiting for me in bed ready to get rough. HAH! no no. just that having that one other person that can make me forget everything thats stressing me with just a smile is a nice thing to have. where in all aspects of life i like to have control, with that one person i surrender all control to and finding happiness in doing little things for him. blah blah blah k now im depressing myself. NOT

as much as i miss that. im having too much fun right now with everything thats going on in my life. so have a happy valentines day! smile because rap loves you, well most of you (you know thats just the damn truth).
